It’s hard to be a woman today. The world tells you that you can be anything you want, then asks why the house is a mess, when dinner is, and oh by the way, how come you don’t have any children yet?
Boxing is great for women. Sure, you might get the occasional odd look from a colleague, but boxing offers a heck of a lot in return.
Boxing is a tremendous way to get and stay fit. It’s about strength, sure, but it’s not a lunkheaded I-can-bench-press-a-car strength, it’s a head-to-toe, all body strength designed to help you deliver and take punches. It doesn’t matter a whit if those punches come in the ring, or in the regular world. When you’re boxing fit, you’re in the kind of condition that can handle whatever life throws at you.
Boxing can give you confidence. It might sound stupid. How can getting punched in the face give you confidence? There are two ways. One, if you’re into sparring—and if you’re not, we won’t insist—you will get punched in the face. You will get knocked down. And you will get up. There’s an old boxing saying that it doesn’t matter how many times you are knocked down, it just matters how many times you get up. We’ll teach you that you can get up no matter what knocks you down, and that’s a confidence that you can transfer into every other aspect of your life.
But it’s more than just getting up. If you’ve taken the time to come to this site and have read so far, you probably have an idea in the back of your mind of what you might look like after you’ve been boxing for a while. Maybe you’re looking at competition. Maybe you’re looking at how fit you might be. Whatever it is, you can do better and be more. We are all limited by our dreams. We will help show you that you can be so much more than you ever dreamed. And that is a confidence that can truly change your life.
